Free Ghosts of Meridian Content Arriving Next Week for Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5 Guardians Tyrant Combat Evolved

Halo 5 Guardians Skirmish at Darkstar Establishing Angle

With the great news below, I have been playing Halo 5 to get ready for the new free downloadable content! Free Ghosts of Meridian content will soon arrive on Xbox One next week for Halo 5: Guardians. Those who want to view the new content can before the release, 343 Industries will be showing off all of the new Ghosts of Meridian content live on Tuesday, April 5 from 3 PM to 5 PM, Pacific Standard Time at twitch.tv/halo as well as on the Halo Channel.

According to Xbox Wire, the content includes the following:

  • New Warzone map – Skirmish at Darkstar. Though Liang-Dortmund’s local headquarters at Meridian Station was devastated, the remote polar outpost of Darkstar Station survived. But anomalies abound beneath the battered surface as ancient machinery buried deep in the planet’s mantle stir to life, including an all-new boss.
  • New Arena map – Tyrant. The facility known as Site C by human explorers is one of a handful of intact Forerunner structures remaining in the Zeta Hydronis Secundus system, a grim reminder that even godlike artifice can be undone by the minds and hands of mad tyrants. The small-scale symmetrical map is built for Capture the Flag and Assault game modes.
  • New REQs items. A slew of brand new REQs are arriving with Ghosts of Meridian, including Tartarus’ Gavel, a Legendary gravity hammer that unleashes kinetic explosions with each swing, and boosts movement speed, shield strength, and jump height.

Skirmish at Darkstar, the new Warzone map looks interesting, it is mixed with indoor and outdoor areas. A center area that has a roof where battles could take place looks to be the center of the map.

Tyrant, is the new arena map, from the released pictures it looks interesting with hideaways tucked away in the mountains but it is kinda hard to see what the overall map looks like. It should be a great map for capture the flag with a lot of areas to learn.

I cannot wait to play the new maps and the best part is that the Halo 5 downloadable content is free!
